Who is Universal Standard?

universal standard It is one of my favorite brands. I fell in love with them back in 2015 when they first came out and have bought a lot ever since. I’m always hesitant to call a company “size included” because unless you offer custom options for someone, someone will always be left out. BUT they are absolutely the most inclusive major size brand with each item offered in sizes 00-40. As someone who very often excludes himself from styles like a size 28, he is very much appreciated. The styles are classic and high quality, and some of my favorite things in my closet. There isn’t a week that goes by that I don’t use the US at least twice. What is a Universal Standard Mystery Box?

Just like it sounds, a Universal Standard Mystery Box is a package you receive where you don’t select the items. For a limited time, you can purchase a themed box at great savings not available from Universal Standard at any other time. You give up control and they give you a discount. 2023 Mystery Boxes start on 2/14 (Early Access) and will last until February 22, unless sold out before then. There are 13 themed boxes for you to select from, including Best-Sellers, Coastal Chic, Luxe Forever, Wanderlust, Athleisure and more. All boxes come in sizes 00-40 and come with 2-3 basic wardrobe items that fit the theme of the box. Prices start at just $58 and boxes are valued at up to $1,100.

Boxes DO sell out during the sale, so if you want to get a specific box I suggest you buy early. (Learn from my mistake of missing the Luxe box last year!)

What I received in my dress mystery box:

Universal Standard gave me their Box of dresses for all occasions in exchange for sharing the content on Instagram. This box includes 3 dresses for $174, which makes them $58 a piece. I ordered my usual US size, a 2XL, and they all fit perfectly. I have ordered many mystery boxes over the years, and I have to say, this was my favorite. Reminder: your box will probably be different! I’m just sharing what I received as an example of the items you could get:

TICINO LONG SLEEVED KNIT DRESS – retails for $112

This long-sleeved jersey dress is very, very comfortable. The fabric is nice and stretchy, but it doesn’t stretch. It has a good weight to it, so there are no see-throughs in the fabric. It’s the perfect dress for running errands when you want to look put together but feel like you’re in your pajamas. I combined it with a pair of sneakers and a fanny pack that I used as a shoulder bag. You can also wear it with a denim or motorcycle jacket with sneakers, flats or boots.

LONG DRESS WITH CLEAN COLUMN – retails for $138

THE DRAPING OF THIS DRESS!! He is so good. I have a hard time with straight/column dresses because I have a bigger tummy and hips, but USA always gets the proportions right. This is a silky stretch knit fabric that drapes and moves beautifully. I would absolutely wear this dress for an evening occasion. The V neckline and front slit are somehow sexy yet elegant. For this photo, I quickly grabbed some neutral shoes and a brown leather bag that works perfectly, but this is a dress I’d love to pair with a textured clutch, strappy heels, up-do hair, and some sparkly earrings.

New Standard Jersey wrap dress in black – retails for $138

This is another wardrobe staple: a little black dress that can go anywhere! This one hits all the high notes: a thick, stretchy jersey material that will stay wrinkle-free, a TRUE wrap style that provides adjustable coverage through the bust and waist, and a length just below the knees that’s appropriate anywhere. . It is a true classic. Dress it up or down – this can do it all.

BEFORE purchasing a Universal Standard Mystery Box:

• All sales are final. There are no returns or exchanges with any of these items. If you’re okay with that risk, go ahead and buy! If you have experience selling online, US items usually sell out quickly in poshmark and in Buy/Sell/Exchange Groups on Facebook.
• US sizes are DIFFERENT! Triple check your size if you don’t know it: find your size charts to be extremely accurate, but their size scale is labeled differently than other brands. If it’s close to my size, I wear a size 28 at most retailers and do that for items with US numeric tags as well, and on your alphanumeric size, I wear an XL or 2XL depending on how I’d like to item it. to fit.
• It is really random what is selected for you. Items will fall into the theme of the box you purchase, but specific items/colors may vary from person to person. If you’re very selective or just looking to fill a small space in your wardrobe, this might not be the right deal for you. But then again, if you’re comfortable selling online or with any other US-obsessed friends, then it should be easy to trade or sell what you missed.
• Boxes run out – If there is a specific one that interests you, I suggest buying early. Sizes and styles become limited.
• Shipping can be slow – between 2-4 weeks. If you’re looking for Amazon Prime speeds, this isn’t it!
