Zac Meyers (140KG) Scores Staggering Raw World Record Total of 1,077.4 Kilograms (2,375.4 Pounds)

Meyers once again distinguished himself as a titan among men.

Zac Meyers is used to lifting immeasurable amounts of weight – a read of his workout-laden Instagram profile says so. Although this 29-year-old powerlifting star clearly excels in multiple strength arenas.

On June 17, 2023, at the end of the World Raw Powerlifting Federation (WRPF) King of the Cave 3, Meyers recorded a crude 1,077.4 kilograms (2,375.4 lb) total. The number is officially an all-time raw world record in the competitive 300-pound division and gave Meyers the win. It is the latest in a series of notable achievements for a prolific athlete in the world of powerlifting.

To accumulate his world record total, Meyers had an all-time best raw squat of 404.9 kilograms (892.8 lbs), an all-time best raw bench press of 285 kilograms (628.3 lbs), and a raw squat of all time. best competition deadlift of 387.5 kilograms (854.3 lbs). The athlete wore a lifting belt, knee pads, and wrist wraps during his upper squat. Meyers wore a lifting belt and wrist wraps during his bench press, and only a belt during the deadlift.

According to the database of open weightlifting, Meyers now holds the gross world record in two separate divisions. In addition to his latest mark, Meyers also holds the world record total gross of 1,054.9 kilograms (2,325.8 pounds) in the 125-kilogram category. Overall, Meyers has lost only twice in a lengthy career that began in December 2015.

In a thoughtful post on his Instagram, Meyers wrote that he felt like he had “another 10-15lbs” on his monster squat. Overall, the sentiment of the post from him made it seem like the athlete left a lot on the table despite a world record.
